東方快車 Orient Express

曾幾何時在70至80年代間，西方樂壇掀起了一股東方熱，好一些歐美樂手/樂隊都創作過以東方為題或向東方音樂探討的作品。姑勿論這些西方音樂人對東方文化是否只有很皮毛表面的認識，但「老外玩東方薰陶音樂」，每每都能產生出不中不西的怪有趣感覺。 

早在兩個月前已忽發奇想地在Spotify上開始選輯《東方快車 Orient Express》這個Mixtape出來(取名自松武秀樹的1982年專輯)，結集了眾多西方樂手以香港、中國以至日本為主題或探討與取材東方文化的曲目，跨越不同年代、不同音樂流派，而且愈找愈多。當中包括Gold Panda，Gorillaz，David Byrne，Vangelis，Blaine L. Reininger，Dalis Car，The Shop Assistants，Emilie Simon，Gary Numan，Marcus Miller，Japan，Men Without Hats，Winston Tong，Siouxsie And The Banshees，Mission of Burma，Thin Lizzy，Brian Eno，Traffic，John Cale，Iggy Pop，Love and Rockets，Fujiya & Miyagi，Tuxedomoon，China Crisis，Wild Nothing，Patrick Watson，Curtis Mayfield，Philip Bailey，Bo Diddley，Les Baxter，John Adams，Duke Ellington & His Orchestra，David Bowie，Be Bop Deluxe，Thompson Twins，Bryan Ferry，The Strokes，Kordan，Ultravox，Cluster，Deuter和Paul Horn等名字的作品。

只可惜在Spotify上沒有Jean Michel Jarre的《The Concerts in China》和Holger Czukay的《Der Osten Ist Rot》呢。(但我就是堅持不放上Carl Douglas的〈Kung Fu Fighting〉。)
