The Best of Motorik Beats @ Spotify

英國前衛音樂教父Brian Eno曾表示過：「在70年代有三種重大的節拍——Fela Kuti的Afrobeat、James Brown的Funk以及Klaus Dinger的Neu! Beat。」Klaus Dinger (1946 –2008)，為70年代德國Krautrock名團Neu!的已故鼓手，而Eno所指的Neu! Beat，正是日後所謂的Motorik節拍——即一種4 / 4的固定低音(Ostinato)節奏，來得有如摩托運作般重復性(Repetitive)、感覺有如在高速公路上馳騁的節拍。 

我對Motorik Beats情有獨鍾，那壓根兒是關乎我是德國Krautrock的愛好者。畢竟Motorik Beats是由Neu!所發揚光大。

心血來潮在Spotify上選輯了《The Best of Motorik Beats》這個Mixtape出來，帶來全是以Motorik Beats驅動、跨越新舊時代的曲目——有鼻祖先鋒、也有近代的倣效者。當中結集了Kraftwerk、Neu!、Harmonia、Can、The Velvet Underground、David Bowie、Iggy Pop、Peaches、Fujiya & Miyagi、Holy Fuck、The Horrors、Editors、Echoboy、Toy、LCD Soundsystem、Air、The American Analog Set、Portishead、Freeland、The Humans League、Paul Weller、Graham Coxon、Broadcast、Stereolab、Electrelane、The Strokes、Field Music、Sonic Youth、Public Image Limited和Primal Scream等等名字；由Kraftwerk的〈Autobahn〉展開這段Motorik Beats公路馳騁旅程，以Primal Scream的〈Autobahn 66〉作結，來個首尾呼應。日後還會陸陸續續再加歌曲。 我發覺這個《The Best of Motorik Beats》合輯Playlist除了宜作駕車/乘車時外，在爽朗節奏下，做家居清潔時聽也相當不錯呢。
